Students' Support Services Unit
The Students’ Support Service is a Unit within the College of Distance Education, University of Cape Coast. The Unit is responsible for providing a variety of students’ centered services and support which are aimed at bridging the gap between the distance learner and the University. This is because the University acknowledges the fact that the success of distance education programme depends largely on students’ support services provided to distance students.

Activities of the Unit
The Students’ Support Services Unit (SSSU) undertakes the following activities:
- Printing and distribution of academic calendar and teaching time tables for students and course tutors at the beginning of every semester
- Printing of attendance sheets to be used in writing quizzes and end of semester examinations
- Printing of quizzes and examination time tables
- Determination of students’ grouping at various study centres for face to face purposes
- Management of students’ data
- Collaborates with Heads of Academic Units in mounting of courses and registration of students at the beginning of every semester
- Preparation of monitoring files to be used at the study centres by staff during face-to-face sessions
- Assists the College Registrar in organizing orientation, matriculation and graduation of students
- Responsible for general correspondence on matters pertaining to students’ welfare
- Address issues pertaining to student governance and leadership development
- Responding to student enquiries.

Sections within the Unit
